SPECIAL PROJECTS
The James Montgomery Animal Wellness Center is dedicated to a man who went above and beyond for each person he encountered. Everyone who knew or even heard of Mr. Mont knows he left a legacy that will impact the lives of generations to come. This is exactly what we envision for the wellness center; a facility that positively impacts the lives of each companion animal that walks through its doors. We envision this as a place our facility animals will be treated by our dedicated clinic team and eventually adopted through our adoption center.
This will also be a place where constituents in Columbia and surrounding counties can come to seek expert veterinary care at a low cost or adopt one of our many available companions. This facility is made possible by generous donations from families across our community and we are still looking for help raising final funds. Perhaps your family would like to honor a loved one or the family pet. We have many sponsorship opportunities, from entire rooms to individual kennels. Contact us today to leave your lasting legacy on this impactful facility.
What Can You Expect?
The Zipp Star Dog Park will feature both a large and small fenced dog park, each separate with their own water features, washing stations and double gate entry system. There will also be walking trails, a memorial area to picnic and a training facility.
Plans are developing as we work to create the best fit for our campus and community. Updates will be posted here so make sure to check back for updated information! Sponsorships and donation opportunities are available, if you are interested, please contact Ashley Gerondale at 386.752.3191 ext. 3001 or agerondale@lakecityhumane.org.
